Qualifications

• 2 years university education in a related discipline or engineering, or 4-year university degree in other field.
• Effective communication and ability to interact with customers.
• Proven ability to be innovative and creative.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must.
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.

Responsibilities

• Examine test samples and read measuring instruments, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions.
• Evaluates test performance and provides feedback regarding issues and data sheets; reviews test and construction data with supervisor and/or lab work requestor as appropriate.
• Operates with minimal supervision within defined limits of responsibility.
• Directs, builds and/or adapts setup and test equipment for new situations per data sheets and instructions from engineering department personnel.
• Trains staff in test setups and test methods.
• Initiates recommendations for new equipment designs and recommends solutions to observed test problems.
