Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking a Sr. Lab Technician with a 2-year technical/associate degree and up to 5 years in a characterization lab. You’ll run high-end lab tools, take DC/CV, S-parameters, and Flicker Noise measurements, and use in-house test software.

This on-site role supports a 300mm facility with daytime hours. The position requires strong communication, organization, and a desire to learn advanced testing methods; the preferred candidate has a Bachelor's degree and coding

Qualifications

• Education: 2-year technical/associate degree in science, math, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing or related discipline.
• Experience: 0–5 years in a fabrication/ electronics environment.
• Language: English fluency (written & verbal).
• Willingness to learn and operate lab tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-end lab tools and take device-level measurements under specified test conditions.
• Log wafers in lab software and coordinate with technology/modeling teams.
• Assist with tool calibration and maintenance.
• Continuous learning to support new testing capabilities and improve processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for problem solving and debugging.
