Job summary

PEAK seeks a Laboratory Manager in Wisconsin to oversee daily lab operations, lead and develop staff, and ensure high-quality production across assigned areas. You will manage semen collection scheduling, collaborate cross-functionally, and perform key lab processes while upholding strict quality standards and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a life science, lab leadership experience, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, animal science, or related life science field; lab leadership preferred.
• Experience with lab procedures and equipment, including microscopy and cryopreservation.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Comfort working in lab environments, cold rooms, and with liquid nitrogen.
• Physically able to stand long periods and lift up to 45 pounds; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and safety standards while maintaining high efficiency and product quality.
• Lead, coach, and develop laboratory staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Manage production scheduling, inventory, and collection priorities to meet operational goals and partner needs.
• Perform and oversee laboratory processes, including evaluation, quality control, and handling of product to meet strict quality and export standards.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment and supplies, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance as needed Maintain accurate records, certifications, and compliance documentation while supporting audits and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement by supporting operational goals, cross-site collaboration, and initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality.
