Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Kubernetes Platform Engineer to stabilize, scale, and evolve our AKS environment. You will collaborate with DevEx, CI/CD tooling, and observability teams to drive self-service tooling, reduce debt, and promote repeatable delivery across engineering groups.

The role emphasizes leadership in Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and platform governance, with focus on Terraform/Bicep IaC, GitHub Actions, Harness, Flux CD, and Dynatrace observability in a contract-to-hire

Qualifications

• Expert Kubernetes platform engineer with AKS experience.
• Strong background in CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Harness, Flux CD).
• Experience with observability tooling (Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic).
• Collaborates with application, infrastructure, and services teams to deliver and support platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage, operate, and improve AKS clusters across dev, staging, production.
• Design and manage IaC components (Terraform, Bicep) to provision infrastructure.
• Optimize cluster performance, scalability, cost, and security posture.
• Triage and resolve issues in AKS, networking, storage, and RBAC policies.
• Lead platform experimentation, self-service tooling, and deployment patterns.
