Job summary

FlixBus is seeking a Senior (Full-Stack) Kotlin Engineer for a service agreement collaboration. The role focuses on backend development with Kotlin and solid frontend capabilities, operating within a distributed, cross-functional team that supports Flix station management tooling used by millions of passengers.

The candidate will drive epic roadmaps, engage with stakeholders, and implement scalable solutions in an agile setting with cloud deployments and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a JVM language, including Kotlin.
• Strong frontend skills and modern frontend stack.
• Experience with event-driven architectures; exposure to CQRS and DDD is a plus.
• Hands-on automation and deployment to cloud infrastructure via CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own roadmaps for Epics, aligning technical requirements with product owners.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to evolve product vision.
• Support development in an agile environment.
• Pair and ensemble programming, code reviews, testing, and operations.
• Deliver new product versions using CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment.
