Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Senior Utility Worker for our EAST TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY location. This full-time role involves maintaining kitchen areas, equipment and utensils, with hands-on leadership for fellow staff.

The position requires flexible shifts and reliable availability, with duties spanning dishwashing, surface cleaning and supply transfers. You will contribute to a safe, efficient dining and service environment while supporting daily operations and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Wash dishes/pots by hand or in a machine and polish silverware.
• Sweep, mop, and clean floors; dispose of garbage properly.
• Wipe down work surfaces, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Move supplies between storage and work areas as needed.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts; meet business needs.
• Other duties as assigned by account requirements.
