Job summary

Data Intellect is seeking a Senior kdb+ Developer to lead delivery on client projects and architect high-performance time-series systems. You will design scalable kdb+ solutions and collaborate with traders, quants, and analysts to translate complex requirements into robust code.

You will mentor junior engineers, own the full lifecycle of client applications, and push innovations in kdb+/q and related technologies across global offices. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on kdb+ development with time-series data.
• Design and scale kdb+ architectures in production.
• Strong Unix/Linux scripting and command-line skills.
• Proven technical leadership and fast-paced decision-making.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in capital markets or investment banking.

Responsibilities

As a Senior kdb+ Developer at [DI] you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-performance, scalable solutions for some of the world’s most data-intensive financial institutions. You’ll:

• Lead technical deliveryon client projects, setting the standard for quality and performance.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on kdb+ development, with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
• Proven experience designing and implementing kdb+ architectures and scalingkdb+ systems in production.
• Strong background inUnix/Linux environmentsand scripting.
• Demonstratedtechnical leadershipand decision-making in fast-paced projects.
• Excellent communication skills abletoexplain complex systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience incapital markets or investment banking, you understand the domain and its demands.
• A passion for clean, performant code and continuous improvement.
