Job summary

Joeris General Contractors, Ltd in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Superintendent to provide field leadership for complex K-12 construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.

You will oversee day-to-day field operations, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, site logistics, safety, and quality, working with owners, district officials, architects, trade partners, and the internal project team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction field experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading large, complex and multi-phase projects.
• Meaningful experience leading K-12 educational construction projects, including ground-up, additions, renovations, or occupied-campus work.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, phasing, logistics, safety, and stakeholder coordination on active school campuses.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate multiple subcontractors while maintaining schedule, safety, and quality.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, quality control, site logistics, and safety practices.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with safety training such as OSHA 30 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership for K-12 projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Lead on-site construction activities and coordinate subcontractors and crews.
• Develop and communicate short- and long-term project schedules with the team.
• Plan sequencing, identify schedule risks, and constructability concerns.
• Manage work on active and occupied campuses, including phasing and access.
• Establish a strong safety culture; conduct safety meetings and site observations.
• Monitor work to ensure conformance with plans, specs, and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, punch lists, commissioning, and closeout.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff; promote teamwork.
