Job summary

Aretum is seeking a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide specialized expertise in Close Air Support (CAS), air-to-ground operations, and joint fires integration to support military exercises, training, and operational testing.

This role supports mission planning, execution, and assessment by coordinating air assets, ground forces, fires, and airspace control while ensuring alignment with current military doctrine and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of joint and service air-to-ground integration processes.
• Ability to translate CAS considerations into actionable planning and execution support.
• Experience coordinating air assets with ground forces during exercises or tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge of air-to-ground command-and-control systems and processes (TACS/AAGS, MACCS, NTACS).
• Coordinate CAS planning and execution with exercise planners and supported maneuver forces.
• Assist in development of mission orders, ATOs, ACOs, SPINS, and MISREPs.
• Support weather, terrain, threat, and airspace analyses affecting CAS employment.
