Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Senior JSOC Liaison to support a federal customer in Arlington, VA, translating mission needs into actionable requirements and transition recommendations. The role requires senior interaction with JSOC, USSOCOM, and other U.S. Government partners, with travel as needed.

The candidate will analyze operational requirements, identify capability gaps, and communicate solutions to senior government stakeholders, ensuring alignment with national security priorities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current CI polygraph.
• 12+ years of senior-level experience supporting DoD, the IC, SOF, or national security missions.
• Experience engaging senior military, government, and interagency stakeholders to define operational needs.
• Experience with requirements analysis, gap analyses, and technology or capability assessments.
• Ability to work onsite in Arlington, VA and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Engage JSOC, USSOCOM, Combatant Commands, and other U.S. Government agencies to understand operational needs.
• Conduct rigorous requirements analyses to identify needs, gaps, priorities, and schedules.
• Identify and communicate DoD/IC problems to technical and government audiences.
• Assess strategic implications of actions, including cyber effects.
• Identify and recommend technology solutions for RDT&E and transition efforts.
• Evaluate proposed solutions and support transition to Special Operations users.
• Support PDAS activities and coordinate requirements across stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver analyses, briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior leaders.
• Travel to government and partner locations as required.

Overview

SOSi is seeking a Senior JSOC Liaison to support a federal customer's rapid research, development, testing, evaluation, and transition of emerging capabilities. The position serves as a senior operational interface with special operations, combatant command, and other U.S. Government stakeholders, translating mission needs into actionable requirements, capability gaps, candidate solutions, and transition recommendations. The successful candidate will combine operational credibility, requirements analysis, interagency coordination, and clear communication with senior leaders.

• Engage JSOC, USSOCOM, Combatant Commands, and other U.S. Government agencies through meetings, briefings, site visits, and other mission-partner engagements to understand operational needs and requirements.
• Conduct rigorous requirements analyses that identify explicit and implicit needs, capability gaps, shortfalls, priorities, and realistic schedules for addressing them.
• Identify, characterize, and communicate difficult DoD and Intelligence Community problems to technical, operational, and senior government audiences.
• Assess the national strategic implications of alternative courses of action, including cyber effects and other mission considerations.
• Identify, prioritize, and recommend candidate technology solutions in support of research, development, test, evaluation, prototyping, and transition efforts.
• Evaluate the operational suitability and capability of proposed solutions and support transition of viable capabilities to Special Operations users and other mission partners.
• Support PDAS activities and sensitive technical operations planning, coordinating requirements and recommendations across operational and technical stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver clear analyses, briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior government leaders and mission partners.
• Travel to government and partner locations as required to conduct meetings, reviews, briefings, and operational coordination.

• 12+ years of Senior-level experience supporting DoD, the Intelligence Community, Special Operations, or other national security missions.
• Demonstrated experience engaging senior military, government, and interagency stakeholders to define operational needs and requirements.
• Experience performing requirements analysis, gap and shortfall analysis, courses-of-action analysis, and technology or capability assessments.
• Experience with PDAS and sensitive technical operations planning is required.
• Excellent written, verbal, briefing, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex operational and technical issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with technical, operational, acquisition, and government teams.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Arlington, VA and travel as mission requirements dictate.

Preferred Qualifications

• 20years of Senior-level experience supporting DoD, the Intelligence Community, Special Operations, or other national security missions.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense research, engineering, prototyping, and experimentation processes and project management practices.
• Experience supporting Special Operations organizations or other U.S. Government agencies in liaison, requirements, or technology-transition roles.
• Military operational experience or demonstrated familiarity with military organization, rank, protocol, and senior-leader engagement.
• Experience with emerging technologies, cyber effects, research and development, prototyping, demonstrations, or transition to operational users.
• Experience developing concepts of operations, transition plans, technology roadmaps, or analytical products for senior decision makers.

• Work is performed in secure government and contractor facilities and requires strict handling of classified and sensitive information.
• Travel to government, partner, and operational locations may be required.
