Job summary

FlightSafety Defense Corporation seeks a seasoned JSE Mission Modeler to design and execute large‑force virtual training scenarios within the JSE synthetic battlespace. You will integrate blue air, red air, constructive forces, and environmental conditions using JSE tools and scripting.

The role requires owning scenario behavior, Lua scripts, and configurations per JPP standards, coordinating with GRID services to ensure high fidelity, repeatable training events across MLS networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (aerospace, systems, OR, CS) with advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in military mission scenario development or distributed synthetic environments (DoD context).
• Hands-on with military scenario authoring tools and constructive simulation frameworks (AFSIM, JSAF, EADSIM, OneSAF, NGTS).
• Familiarity with distributed simulation protocols (HLA, DIS, TENA) and linking entities to networked sims.
• Understanding of JSE architecture, GRID services, and JSE Platform Package (JPP).
• Operational knowledge of USAF/USN TTPs to author credible training scenarios.
• Experience supporting large‑force exercises (50+ players) in LVC environments.
• Strong technical writing and communication; ability to produce scenario docs, test plans, and AARs.
• Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mission scenarios for large‑force virtual training in the JSE battlespace.
• Create content integrating blue air, red air, constructive forces, and environmental conditions using JSE tools.
• Maintain scenario behavior files, Lua scripts, configurations, and control logic per JPP standards.
• Collaborate with JSE GRID services on entity state, sensors, weapon interactions, and LOS services to ensure fidelity.
• Translate operational requirements into executable synthetic environments; support validation at JSE facilities and government sites.
• Contribute to scenario libraries across multiple profiles and MLS environments; assist with RVR activities and traceability.
• Travel to government test events, contractor facilities, and training sites as needed.
