Job summary

The JSE Architect and Project Lead shapes the technical identity across JSE/SCARS initiatives and guides integration of simulator and training services to meet government standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; master's preferred
• 10+ years in simulation systems architecture or related field
• Experience with JSE/SCARS, GRID, or similar frameworks
• Proficiency with distributed simulation protocols (HLA/DIS/TENA)
• Experience with API-driven architectures and frameworks
• MBSE methods and SysML tools
• DevSecOps pipelines and RMF/ATO processes
• Strong technical writing and proposal/documentation skills
• Leadership of small teams and multiple projects
• Hands-on with JIRA, GitLab, and scripting in C++/Python

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain JSE/SCARS Reference Architecture
• Translate standards into internal requirements and designs
• Lead architecture reviews and author technical volumes
• Align FlightSafety offerings to JSE/SCARS standards
• Drive MBSE models and digital twins for JSE/SCARS
• Oversee DevSecOps pipelines for simulator software
• Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity for ATO readiness
• Build internal JSE/SCARS integration lab and customer relations
