Job summary

CORTEK is seeking a Senior Joint Training Requirements Specialist to serve as the senior technical authority on a nationally distributed team supporting the National Guard Bureau. The role requires active Secret clearance, extensive experience in joint training, and leadership over the Northeast region with an alternate to the Program Manager.

This hybrid, full-time position includes on-site work at the National Guard Bureau in Arlington, VA and telework under government arrangements.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required at start
• Ten years of experience in joint training
• Five years supporting a National Guard, Joint Staff, combatant command, or Service headquarters staff
• Expert knowledge of the four phases of the Joint Training System: requirements, plans, execution, and assessment
• Experience drafting or reviewing Joint Training Plans
• Experience instructing or facilitating small group workshops at senior leadership level
• Three years of expert use of Joint Training Tool or JTIMS including Master Scenario Events List tool
• Experience with Defense Readiness Reporting System and Joint Lessons Learned Information System
• Knowledge of Mission Training Assessments and Training Proficiency Assessments
• Experience with Universal Joint Task List and Joint Mission Essential Task List development
• Ability to obtain a CAC and work on classified systems (including SIPRNet)
• Residence in or willingness to relocate to National Capital Region
• Willingness to travel 20–30% within CONUS
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field preferred
• U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

• Draft and consolidate Joint Training Plans for district commanders and directors
• Review Joint Training Plans for doctrinal correctness
• Advise on revised Joint Mission Essential Task List selection process
• Serve as user advocate for joint training database of record
• Act as User Group Lead for National Guard organizations
• Develop and review Mission Training Assessments and Training Proficiency Assessments
• Support Homeland Response Forces and related teams in building JT lists
• Design and lead training workshops for Joint Training System
• Serve as Observer/Controller/Trainer at exercises and training events
• Support the Joint Event Life Cycle for major exercises
• Present briefings on training transformation and framework readiness
• Act for the Program Manager on contract matters when absent
