Job summary

Detroit Defense/Athenix Special Missions seeks a motivated Joint SOF Trainer for Operations and Planning at Camp Lejeune, NC. The role supports training exercises, planning, and execution with a team of specialists in intelligence, operations, and logistics.

The position requires eight years of SOF experience (or equivalent), three years in Joint Training System planning, and an active TS-SCI clearance. Expect multi-rotation travel and close collaboration with USSOCOM and joint staffs.

Qualifications

• eight years of special operations experience
• three years experience with the Joint Training System (joint exercise planning management)
• four years experience in SOF tactical/operational HQs
• four years experience developing SOF tactical-operational level products
• experience interfacing with senior staff at TSOCs/Components/GCCs
• excellent presentation, communication and organization skills
• two years platform instructor experience (preferred)
• active TS-SCI clearance (required)

Responsibilities

• Execute large-scale training exercises to enhance readiness for SOF units.
• Plan and script exercises with intelligence, operations, and logistics specialists.
• Coordinate with USSOCOM HQ, GCCs, TSOCs, Joint Staff for synchronized exercise design.
• Maintain up-to-date SOF training products on JOIC and related systems.
• Utilize ADDIE model to design and deliver training material for in-person and online delivery.
• Create/explore SOF joint HQ concepts and multinational training event orders.
