Job summary

State of Nebraska is seeking an Information Technology Applications Developer/Senior for the WebTeam Java on-site in Lincoln, NE. You will work daily with team members supporting java web development projects for the Nebraska Public Employees Retirement Systems, mentoring others, and delivering full lifecycle development.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and Java development experience; knowledge of Azure DevOps, Java EE, and modern web technologies is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and two years of related coding experience.
• Experience in Java web development projects including design, coding, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all phases of new development or maintenance of web development projects.
• Mentor other developers and collaborate with business analysts and clients.
• Design, code, debug, test, and document Java programs daily.
• Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, design and production support.
