Role: Senior Software Test Engineer, Java environment

Location: 100% Remote

Description:

This position is for a Senior Software Test Engineer in the applications development group. The candidate will participate in all aspects of the software development process including, requirements gathering, designing, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and system level testing. The candidate is expected to work well within a collaborative team of software professionals and have technical group leadership abilities to lead project testing activities.

Requirements:

1. Experience with QA methodologies (Test Plans, Negative Testing, Integration, Regression)
2. Experience writing and testing code in the Python and Java programming languages
3. Experience implementing web testing automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver)
4. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
5. Experience with Object-Oriented design and design patterns
6. Experience with Servlets ORM/H2/Hibernate and JDBC
7. Experience with JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3 and JSON/XML
8. Experience with Junit, Postman JavaScripting, Spring testing and mock testing frameworks
9. Experience with Databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL and NoSQL)
10. Experience with debugging web applications (Firebug, etc.)
11. Experience with Scrum/Kanban/Scumban Agile methodologies
12. Experience with Version control tools and methods: Git/SVN
13. Experience with CI/CD technologies (Maven, Jenkins, Nexus/Artifactory, Terraform, Chef, etc.)
14. Familiarity with Web Servers (Tomcat, Nginx, Apache and IIS)
15. Familiarity with Cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure)
16. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
