Job summary

HCLTech in Des Moines is seeking a Senior Tech Lead for Java Full Stack + React to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot. You will implement secure auth, ensure robust API design, and guide a team across the full SDLC.

The role requires 10+ years of Java backend experience, 3+ years with Spring Boot/MVC, and strong expertise in Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, and agile practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years Java backend experience.
• 3+ years in Spring Boot/MVC and RESTful API design.
• Strong RESTful API design and integration skills.
• Solid OOD and design pattern knowledge.
• Agile methodology experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain microservices/APIs with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization with Spring Security (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC).
• Write clean, testable code following SOLID principles.
• Mentor junior/mid-level developers and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and front-end teams.
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Manage full SDLC: planning, testing, deployment, and support.
• Use AI-assisted dev tools to speed up coding/testing.
