Job summary

Cognizant in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Java Technical Lead to drive enterprise-scale authentication and digital applications. You will guide design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable RESTful services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, while championing DevOps practices and code quality.

You will collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to shape authentication platform solutions, implement Swagger/OpenAPI, and build robust CI/CD pipelines with GitLab,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience leading development teams as a Technical Lead.
• Strong hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Extensive AWS cloud services and cloud-native development experience.
• Strong SQL skills including database design and performance tuning.
• Experience implementing Swagger/OpenAPI specifications for REST services.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience integrating SonarQube and Veracode for code quality and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications.
• Design and build secure, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and stakeholders to develop authentication and enterprise platform solutions.
• Implement and maintain API documentation standards using Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and integrate quality and security tools such as SonarQube and Veracode.
• Ensure delivery of well-structured, testable, and maintainable code supported by comprehensive unit testing.
