Job summary

Huxley is seeking a Software Engineer IV for an onsite role in Dallas, TX, Charlotte, NC or St. Louis, MO on a 4-month contract with extension through 2027. You will lead design and delivery of event-driven transactional microservices on AWS using Java 17/Spring Boot.

The role is ~80% development and 20% unit testing, requiring 7+ years in Java/Spring Boot, hands-on AWS (ECS, Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS, EventBridge) and experience with Kafka and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Java/Spring Boot experience required.
• Hands-on AWS with ECS, Aurora, SQS, EventBridge; transactional systems with concurrency controls.
• Experience with Kafka and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to lead design and delivery of event-driven microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of event-driven transactional microservices on AWS using Java 17/Spring Boot, ECS, Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS FIFO, EventBridge, MSK.
• Develop and test, balancing 80% development and 20% unit testing; ensure code quality and scalability.
