Job Description

- Apply multi-skilled expertise across software development lifecycle and toolset.
- Lead and cultivate teams working in Agile frameworks and be recognized as a leader in Agile.
- Act as a coach for at least one technical skill.
- Apply strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, TestDriven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, security.
- Stay abreast of cutting edge technologies/trends and use experience to influence application of those technologies/trends to support the business.
- May give speeches and outside the firm, write articles.
Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years applied experience.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s), including Java and Spring frameworks.
- Hands-on experience using Kafka for building and managing real-time data streaming applications, including configuring topics, producers, and consumers, and ensuring reliable message delivery.
- Hands-on practical experience using AWS cloud services, including designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure with services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, step functions and VPC.
- Practical experience using IaC tools (example terraform) to build infra on AWS.
- Proficiency in automation at various stages of SDLC and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
- Possesses AWS Developer or Architect Associate certification, demonstrating validated expertise in designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS cloud platforms.
- Clear communication and ability to articulate complex ideas to various audiences including business, product, management, executives and tech audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in front-end tools such as React, Angular, etc.
- Experience with scripting tools, BDD tools for automation.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
- Experience implementing high throughput, low latency software applications.
- Experience with application performance monitoring Tools.
