Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to design scalable quality solutions for workplace applications. You will partner with Scrum teams to raise engineering standards, deliver reliable software, and shape a quality culture.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation across UI and API layers, with Java, REST APIs, DevOps, and cloud awareness. You will contribute to test design and execution, automate contracts and data validation, and help modernize delivery with

Qualifications

Quality Assurance expertise across UI, API, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Advanced Java capability with object-oriented and clean-code practices for automation solutions.
Advanced REST APIs capability including contract validation and error handling.
Advanced DevOps capability with automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
Advanced SQL capability to validate relational data and end-to-end outcomes.
Ability to communicate complex quality risks to technical and business partners.
Hands-on experience building scalable UI and API automation frameworks.
Knowledge of load testing concepts and tools.

Responsibilities

Define and implement risk-based QA strategies for UI and API layers.
Collaborate with Scrum teams to raise engineering standards and testing coverage.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, REST Assured, and CI/CD pipelines.
Perform automated validation of contracts, payloads, and dependencies.
Contribute to test data management, performance testing, and observability efforts.
