Job summary

hudsonmanpower is seeking a Senior/Advanced Java Developer to support a dedicated team building an Omnichannel Payment Platform (OPP) and a new POS system. The consultant will help stabilize the POS environment and integrate it with the OPP platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, backend microservices, API Gateway integrations, enterprise payment systems, and POS environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior Java development experience.
• Strong Java, Spring, and Spring Boot skills.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
• API Gateway integrations and enterprise system integrations.
• POS experience with terminals or related test environments.
• Experience in PCI-scoped or security-sensitive environments.
• Ability to work onsite with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate the new POS platform with the Omnichannel Payment Platform (OPP).
• Develop and support API Gateway integrations and downstream services.
• Troubleshoot and stabilize POS-to-backend and payment-processing integrations.
• Hands-on testing with physical POS terminals and onsite lab hardware.
• Develop secure, scalable, and highly available backend services.
• Work within PCI-scoped environments and follow security/compliance standards.
• Collaborate with POS, payment, architecture, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and architecture discussions.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Investigate complex integration and production issues and drive resolution.
• Support event-driven architectures and messaging technologies as required.
• Help establish development and integration practices for the OPP/POS team.
