Global Business Ser 4u Inc. in New York Downtown—Manhattan is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer with deep Java testing skills to lead performance assessments for complex financial applications.

This hybrid role requires local candidates and offers two onsite days (Tue, Wed). You will design non-functional test strategies, implement workloads, analyze JVM performance with JFR and profilers, and validate REST/SOAP APIs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Performance Engineering and Java testing.
• Expertise in JMeter and LoadRunner.
• Proficient in Java development, debugging, and profiling.
• Experience with performance monitoring/profiling tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with dev teams to design and execute performance tests for Java apps.
• Create and maintain non-functional test strategies, plans, scenarios, and scripts.
• Use LoadRunner and JMeter to assess performance.
• Identify bottlenecks with tools like JProfiler, JVisualVM, and Oracle JFR.
• Conduct Load, Stress, Volume, Resiliency, and Endurance testing.
• Design workload models to simulate real-world usage for testing projects.
• Perform JVM analysis: heap, GC, thread dumps, memory.
• Validate SOAP/REST APIs with Postman, Newman, SOAP UI.
• Test Android and iOS mobile apps for performance.
• Work with server tech: Tomcat, IIS, Apache, IBM WAS.
• Convert LoadRunner/Neoload scripts to JMeter.
• Use Dynatrace APM and NewRelic dashboards for monitoring.
• Run backend DB tests with SQL queries in MS SQL Developer.
• Knowledge of AWS services: Lambda, SQS, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch.
• Engage in performance testing of core business apps (Mortgage, Lending, Retail Banking, Cards, POS).
