Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join the Thinkorswim Performance Engineering team. The role focuses on latency, scalability, reliability, and resiliency for a Java-based trading platform.

You will analyze production traffic, read code, and turn findings into actionable improvements across client, server, and cloud environments. The position requires deep Core Java knowledge, strong diagnostic skills, and experience with distributed systems and real-time

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
5+ years in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
Experience with distributed systems, real-time processing, databases, and messaging.
Linux background with shell scripting
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience diagnosing JVM issues

Responsibilities

Code performance test scripts in Core Java and maintain Unix shell and Python frameworks.
Develop tooling and mock services; maintain tool repository.
Analyze performance requirements with project owners.
Write and execute performance tests; monitor application behavior.
Identify performance bottlenecks and collect metrics.
Suggest resiliency improvements and tuning.
Work with Performance QA on stress tests.
Understand complex code base and architecture for scalable solutions
