Job summary

Coderio is seeking a Senior Java Microservices Developer to own design, development, and delivery of a suite of event-driven microservices on AWS, in a strictly on-site Miami/ Fort Lauderdale engagement. You will lead backend architecture, ensure code quality, and drive scalable production-grade services within an experienced engineering team.

Applicants should have 8+ years in Java backend development, 2+ years in microservices, Spring Boot/Spring Cloud, and strong AWS expertise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building backend services in Java
• At least 2+ years in microservices and event-driven systems
• Java 17+ and strong OOP/concurrency fundamentals
• Spring Boot and Spring Cloud production experience
• AWS services: DynamoDB, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, KMS, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, Lambda, IAM, RDS
• AI-assisted development with tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot)
• Solid testing with JUnit, Mockito, and integration tests
• On-site in Miami/Fort Lauderdale for contract engagement

Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture & Execution: design, build, test, deploy Spring Boot microservices
• Distributed Systems & Event-Driven Flows: publish/subscribe messaging and saga/orchestration patterns
• API Design & Integration: REST APIs, webhooks, subscriptions, API versioning
• Cloud-Native Engineering: CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code on AWS
• Operational Excellence: observability with New Relic, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry
• Advanced AI & Agentic Workflows: integrate LLMs and AI governance in services
