Job summary

SFE is seeking an experienced Senior Java/Microservices engineer in Irving, TX to design and implement scalable software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes delivering robust RESTful services and cloud-ready architectures.

The candidate should demonstrate expertise in Spring Boot, distributed systems, and modern DevOps practices, ensuring high availability and reliable performance in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and Spring Boot.
• RESTful web services expertise.
• Knowledge of MongoDB and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Cloud, Eureka, Spring Cloud Gateway, Spring Security.
• Cloud service design with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, OpenShift.
• Experience with Nginx and Tomcat; TLS/SSL certificates.
• Understanding of distributed systems and databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL).
• HA, redundancy, clustering, DR, load balancing.
• NoSQL Mongo knowledge.
• Unix/Linux/Windows familiarity.
• Collaborative with client staff; proactive.
