Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks an experienced Java/Spring Boot developer to design, implement, and maintain scalable microservices-based enterprise applications. You will build RESTful APIs, work with databases, and ensure security and performance across cloud-native deployments.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to technical documentation and release activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in Java (8+) and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Spring MVC, Spring Core, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL options.
• Knowledge of Maven, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of OOP, design patterns, and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Build and expose RESTful APIs with high performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop microservices using Spring Data JPA/Hibernate and related tech.
• Participate in system design and technical solutioning for complex requirements.
• Implement API integrations with internal/external systems via REST/SOAP.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries for SQL/NoSQL.
• Ensure quality through unit/integration testing and code reviews.
• Implement security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security).
• Work with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ for event-driven architectures.
