Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Lead Java/GCP developer with Spring Boot experience to design and implement cloud-native solutions in alignment with the enterprise architecture roadmap.

You will deliver quality software in agile or waterfall environments, own project technical deliverables, and collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and product teams to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business or related field/experience.
• 5-7+ years of experience in software engineering and enterprise application development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, GCP, and Kafka.
• Build and support scalable REST APIs.
• Develop event-driven solutions leveraging Kafka and cloud-native messaging patterns.
• Design data models and optimize performance using Bigtable and related cloud databases.
• Understand and work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical mentoring activities.
