New York Technology Partners is looking for a senior Java/J2EE engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications. You will build RESTful services, develop UI components with Angular/React, and implement Spring-based backends in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Responsibilities include CI/CD, testing, performance tuning, and working with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Onsite or hybrid options in Richmond, VA or Atlanta, GA are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 7+ years of Java/J2EE development.
• Proficient in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security.
• Experience with Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong OOP, design patterns, SDLC.
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational DBs (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Git-based source control.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with AI prompting tools Copilot, Devin, Windsurf, Spec Driven development.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using Java and modern frontend technologies.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop responsive UI components using Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
• Create scalable backend services using Spring Boot and related Spring modules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Perform unit, integration tests and code reviews for quality.
• Troubleshoot performance, security, and scalability issues.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support deployments.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design and maintain data models.
• Support production deployments and incident resolution.
