Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Java Full-Stack Developer for a contract role with a major global bank in Jersey City, NJ. The position is hybrid, requiring three onsite days per week, and offers exposure to large-scale distributed systems and cutting-edge data platforms.

You will work hands-on with Java backend, Spring Boot, React frontend, and cloud-native architectures, mentoring junior developers and guiding architectural choices in market risk tech.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Java backend and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of OOP concepts and design patterns.
• Experience with React frontend and large data volumes.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of key components of the Market Risk platform.
• Collaborate with product leads and tech teams to improve solutions.
• Implement scalable, high-performance computing for market risk analysis.
• Implement containerized deployment and Snowflake integration for cloud data processing.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers in the squad.
