Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Onsite)

Location: McLean, VA

Roles & Responsibilities:

• 8+ years of Core Java development experience, familiar with Java 8 or higher.
• Able to deliver end-to-end projects.
• Experience with Java development and awareness of Java patterns.
• Experience in Spring Boot and Microservices development.
• Experience in development projects and functionalities using Java, J2EE.
• Must have AWS experience.
• Must have Angular experience.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Experience deploying applications on AWS.
• Agile/Scrum development experience.
• Good collaboration and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and perform POCs.
• Ability to diagnose production issues and defects.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of Core Java development experience, familiar with Java 7 or higher.
• Experience with Java development and awareness of Java patterns.
• Proficient in Java/Spring/Spring Boot stack.
• Experience and expertise in AWS and cloud technologies (ECS, Docker, Lambda, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, DynamoDB).
• Knowledgeable in System Design, Performance Engineering, Scaling, Application Security, and Non-Functional Aspects.
• Experience with relational databases, schema design, and queries.
• Experience in Node.js, Angular, HTML, CSS for designing and developing rich, responsive UIs.

Salary and Compensation: The annual salary ranges from $81,337 to $141,500, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.
