Job summary

ECS is seeking a Java Full-Stack AI Engineer to work in our Memphis, TN office and support our USPS client. The role bridges traditional applications with AI-driven data workflows to ensure scalable, secure deployments across production systems.

You will design and implement web-based applications, develop Kafka-based data pipelines, and collaborate with data scientists and federal stakeholders to bring AI/ML models into production. Strong Java, web tech, and AI experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold US citizenship or US Green Card and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• 12+ years of information systems experience with 7+ years in advanced solutions in information systems technology.
• 5+ years with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• 5+ years with Java server technologies (JEE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot).
• 3+ years SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle or similar.
• 5+ years of experience with IBM MQ and stream processing on Kafka.
• Experience with AI/ML, NLP, GenAI, and scaling AI tools.
• Experience collaborating with data scientists, data architects, and federal stakeholders to build and deploy AI/ML models in production

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement web-based applications.
• Design, develop and implement highly complex applications utilizing Oracle and Java technologies.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to solve complex problems across a large enterprise.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences to design efficient applications.
• Work independently and in a team environment, to give and receive direction.
• Develop and revise Java source code based on clearly defined requirements.
• Experience in designing, architecting, and building Kafka based solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to deploy AI/ML models in production
