Job summary

Dezign Concepts LLC seeks a Software Engineer focused on heavy Java development to support a mission operations system. Requires strong Java (17+), PKI/SSL, and LDAP-based security expertise, with no cloud experience required. Active Top Secret SCI with Poly is mandatory and federal-style collaboration is common.

Responsibilities include designing tools, data processing, and secure communications, while maintaining and validating software across Linux/Tomcat environments.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with Poly required.
• Strong Java development (Java17+) and PKI/SSL/TLS experience.
• LDAP authentication/authorization expertise.
• Experience deploying on Apache Tomcat and configuring connectors.
• Linux system administration and command-line proficiency.
• Knowledge of PKI, X.509, OpenSSL and related tooling.
• Front-end skills: JSP, AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Jakarta Servlet API development and REST API security.
• JDBC/DAO patterns with MariaDB/MySQL, no-framework pools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools integrating with commercial applications.
• Create collaborative tools, data manipulation and visualization techniques.
• Provide operations and maintenance of mission data processing systems.
• Modify software for new hardware, performance improvements or fixes.
• Analyze user needs to determine feasible design within time/cost.
• Consult with customers on system design and maintenance.
• Develop testing, validation procedures, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to define requirements.
• Write, update, and maintain programs for data processing and storage.
• Ensure secure data transmission and PKI-based tooling across platforms.
• Test, debug and refine software to deliver the required product.
