The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects, product owners, and other engineering teams to deliver robust REST APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and automated tests while upholding best practices and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Working experience with Python for scripting, automation, or application development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Git and modern source-control practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related Spring technologies.
• Design and implement event-driven applications and data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Use Python for automation, scripting, data processing, and supporting application services as needed.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote development standards, clean code, and best practices.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
• Analyze complex technical issues and provide effective, scalable solutions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
