Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a senior Java engineer with 7+ years of hands-on Core Java/J2EE development experience. You will work with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and build RESTful and SOAP services in a high-volume, distributed enterprise environment.

Strong SQL (Oracle SQL/PLSQL) and NoSQL like Cassandra are required, along with knowledge of design patterns, Maven, Git, and CI/CD. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile SDLC setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE development.
• Strong Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot skills.
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP Web Services.
• Strong SQL skills, Oracle SQL/PLSQL preferred.
• Experience with high-volume, distributed enterprise applications.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for data publishing and consuming.
• Experience with JUnit, performance testing and code analysis.
• Experience with Cassandra or NoSQL distributed databases.
• Knowledge of design patterns (Creational, Behavioral, JEE).
• Experience with Maven, Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile and SDLC including Test-Driven Development.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional/distributed development teams.
