Job summary

Council Capital, a Nashville-based healthcare-focused private equity firm, is hiring for a maintenance and support engineer to sustain a mature SaaS platform. The role involves across two products (case management and FWA detection), with future shifts toward Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with production Java.
• Experience with deployed enterprise/SaaS products.
• Proficient in REST APIs and single-page applications.
• SQL fluency: queries, data structures, and migrations.
• Authorized to work in the United States and available during US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Bug fixes and production support across both products.
• Contractually committed feature work and module refactors.
• Deployments alongside SecOps including environment setup.
• Security and vulnerability remediation within timelines.
• SQL/data work across customer environments and data migration.
• Code reviews and reviews of others’ work.
• Improve configuration handling in the legacy platform after ramp-up.
