Job summary

Revel IT in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join a small, experienced team responsible for mission-critical, customer-facing enterprise applications. You will be hands-on, solving complex problems and contributing across backend and frontend work.

The ideal candidate has 6-10 years of professional software development experience with Java/JEE, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 6-10 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java/JEE development.
• Experience with Spring and/or Spring Boot.
• REST APIs and/or web services experience.
• Relational databases and SQL experience (SQL Server a plus).
• Experience supporting production enterprise applications.
• Collaborative with Analysts, QA, and developers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership of development tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain customer-facing enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.
• Develop new features and functionality for future releases.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production defects and issues.
• Develop and maintain backend logic, APIs, integrations, and database-driven features.
• Contribute to front-end development and enhancements as needed.
• Collaborate with Analysts and QA to clarify requirements and ensure alignment.
• Work with leaders to design solutions and evaluate tools/approaches.
• Develop innovative solutions and conduct proof-of-concept work when appropriate.
• Work with databases, SQL, and application data.
• Participate in upgrades and modernization initiatives.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum; adaptable to project approaches.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
