Nava is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to elevate engineering quality, lead migrations, and collaborate with government stakeholders to implement scalable systems. You will mentor teams, review architecture, and drive technical roadmaps while maintaining production systems and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in agile, multidisciplinary teams, building cloud platforms.
• Experience designing production-grade cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Postgres and ORM mappers.
• DevOps experience, preferably Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience with AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write code and perform code reviews.
• Draft and review technical specifications.
• Collaborate with product teams to mitigate technical risks.
• Guide planning, estimation, prioritization, and technical debt balance.
• Review architecture and designs from other teams.
• Design technical roadmaps and enforce architecture.
• Maintain production systems and handle on-call duties.
• Debug and resolve issues in production environments.
• Contribute to growing Nava’s client portfolio through bids and stakeholder meetings.
• Strategize with leadership to grow projects and attend conferences.
