Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Equity Investments and Client Activities team. You will design, develop, and integrate services that scale the equity investments platform, including cloud-native AWS microservices and on-prem systems.

You will work with Java/J2EE, NoSQL/SQL databases, and follow Agile practices, mentoring peers and contributing to the testing and code-review process within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE software design and development experience.
• Solid understanding of core language features, multi-threading and thread safety.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL; NoSQL exposure (Redis, Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Test driven development with JUnit; version control (Git or SVN); Agile practices.
• Familiarity with CI/build tools like Maven or Gradle; AI familiarity a plus.

• Collaborate with business units to document requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Mentor less senior developers and participate in code reviews.
