Covenant HR LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a remote contract in the US. The role focuses on Java services, secure REST APIs, and cloud-native deployment on GCP with emphasis on high availability and performance.

You will design, build, and operate scalable systems, implementing OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0, while collaborating with security, SRE, and product teams to ensure reliability and security at scale.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience building production-grade services.
• 6+ years of RESTful API design, security, and scalable applications.
• 2+ years of IAM experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0.
• Cloud-native development experience on GCP or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems and observability.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java services and secure RESTful APIs for mission-critical platforms.
• Build cloud-native, horizontally scalable applications on GCP or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0.
• Develop API-first solutions with strong contracts, backward compatibility, and security.
• Engineer highly available systems with latency under 50ms and >5,000 TPS, 99.9%+ availability.
• Apply resilience patterns such as timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, and rate limiting.
• Own full application lifecycle including testing, deployment, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Leverage CI/CD, containers, and modern deployment strategies like blue/green and canaries.
• Participate in production support, incident response, and RCA activities.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, security, SRE, and product teams for scalable solutions.
• Contribute to architectural reviews and long-term platform strategy.
