Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to design, build, and maintain backend microservices within a Hub-and-Spoke architecture. You will contribute to API endpoints, scalable services, and cloud-native platforms to support AI-enabled mission systems.

You will implement robust RESTful APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help drive CI/CD improvements while ensuring high reliability and security. This role requires hands-on Java expertise and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance Required.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Background designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with core AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Implement API endpoints and business logic for wrapper service.
• Develop features for OpenFGA data model management.
• Write unit tests and integration tests.
• Debug and resolve software defects.
• Assist with documentation and code examples.
• Participate in code reviews and team ceremonies.
• Support onboarding team with technical questions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements.
