Job summary

Optimal Solutions & Technologies (OST, Inc.) is seeking a senior Java Developer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise applications. You will build backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, while also crafting front-end interfaces with React or Angular.

The role involves modernizing legacy systems, cloud-based development, and contributing to automated testing, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Five or more years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring or Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with React, Angular, or another modern front-end framework.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with automated testing, Git, Agile, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to meet USCIS suitability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
• Build backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop user interfaces using JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Support legacy-system modernization and cloud-based application development.
• Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
• Participate in Agile development activities, code reviews, and technical-design discussions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues.
• Collaborate with government personnel and other technical teams.
