Qualifications

• U.S. Government security clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship required.
• 5+ years in software engineering with Java frameworks; or 3 years with a Masters; or 9 years with HS.
• Experience designing enterprise APIs.
• Experience with RESTful web services.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• OOP proficiency and agile software lifecycle experience.
• Proven track record as tech lead, mentor, or engineering manager.
• Proficiency with Linux and common configuration tools (Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Ability to work hybrid, 1–2 days weekly in Augusta, GA office.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java‑based software capabilities for complex systems.
• Mentor teammates and guide engineering work.
• Test, troubleshoot, and deliver high‑quality software under deadlines.
• Stay current with emerging software trends and technologies.
• Integrate AI agents (Claude Code / Gemini) into workflows.
• Lead multi‑file feature implementations and automated tests.
• Navigate multi‑repository architectures and audit code for security.
• Collaborate in a fast‑paced, small business environment.
