Job summary

ICONMA is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a remote role with a health insurance client. You will collaborate with clients and analysts to translate requirements into robust Java-based solutions, adhere to architectural standards, and drive projects through full development lifecycles.

You will apply 5+ years of backend Java experience, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, and strong REST API/SQL skills while embracing DevSecOps practices and modern security patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Five (5) years of application programming and analysis experience.
• Broad understanding of information systems and architecture standards.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing applications using Java, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE.
• Project management and experience leading projects preferred.
• 5+ years of IT backend development with Java, Spring Boot, and Jakarta EE.
• Strong RESTful API, SQL databases, and version control (Git).
• 3+ years of experience building responsive UI with Angular, React, TypeScript, HTML5.
• DevSecOps integration, including CI/CD pipeline; Docker/Podman.
• Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, and vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of REST API, CI/CD, GitHub, Jenkins, HTTP, JSON.
• Ability to analyze complex problems spanning multiple business areas.
• Experience in health insurance industry.
• Experience presenting reports to senior management.
• Health insurance domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients, business analysts and team members on major projects to understand requirements and design solutions.
• Provide support in the full systems life cycle to ensure timely delivery within budget.
