Job summary

Creative Information Technology Inc. (CITI) is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications in Identity, Credential and Access Management.

The role combines remote and onsite work in Falls Church, VA, and requires Active Secret security clearance eligibility for Top Secret. You will collaborate with architects, analysts, product owners, and dev teams to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java.
• Strong expertise in Java 11/17+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and No-SQL (MongoDB).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53 / FedRAMP controls, OWASP, Tenable, SonarQube.
• Monitoring/logging tools: Splunk, ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus; Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance Java applications and services.
• Lead the development of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party systems and services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Perform code reviews and security assessments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security guidelines, and organizational policies.
