Job summary

ICONMA is seeking a Java Developer for a remote role. The position is based in Michigan and involves collaborating with clients, analysts and team members to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that align with IT strategy.

Responsibilities include coding enterprise applications, integrating with external platforms, creating data extracts and reports, and developing, executing, and documenting unit tests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT development experience in supporting IT systems and processes.
• Extensive knowledge of one or more SDLCs.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Java, JEE patterns, Angular, Frameworks, and Oracle programming languages.
• Advanced PL/SQL, SQL queries to extract, manipulate, or calculate information to fulfill data and reporting requirements.
• UNIX/LINUX scripting.
• Develops, executes, and documents unit test plans.
• Experience and understanding of health insurance industry.
• Certifications preferred: JAVA, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX, or Project Management related.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients, business analysts and team members on major projects to understand business requirements and design quality technical solutions that align with IT strategies and architectural standards.
• Provide support in the full systems life cycle to ensure applications are delivered on time and within budget.
• Code applications or enterprise-wide software systems using a disciplined development process.
• Integrate solutions with other applications and platforms outside the framework.
• Create data extracts and reports from system as required.
• Develop, execute, and document unit test plans and support testing across the life cycle.
• Identify technical requirements and assist in sizing and design specifications.
• Review technical design specifications and mentor junior developers.
