Job summary

Clemson University is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support the Member Management replacement for the Medicaid IT Services team. This remote role collaborates with state stakeholders and a production support group to ensure successful delivery.

You will work on Java-based web apps using Spring, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and MongoDB, aiming for scalable, highly available solutions with thorough unit testing and end-to-end lifecycle involvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java development experience.
• 7+ years of HTML/CSS and JavaScript, with JQuery.
• 5+ years of experience with EDI Transaction Sets (270/271, 276/277, 837).
• 5+ years of experience with MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, support and implement the State’s Member Management replacement project.
• Architect and build enterprise web-based distributed systems.
• Follow modern SDLC practices with emphasis on unit testing and full lifecycle involvement.
• Communicate with stakeholders across business users, analysts, engineers, DBAs and QA.
