Job summary

Publicis Sapient seeks a seasoned Senior Java Developer to design and scale microservices powering real-time execution algorithms. You will ensure ultra-low latency, high availability, and strict risk/regulatory controls in a high-frequency trading environment.

Lead architecture and development of distributed systems, collaborate with quants and product managers, and optimize performance to achieve sub-millisecond execution speeds while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the full trade lifecycle and execution algorithms.
• Proven ability to design and scale Java microservices for low latency trading.
• Experience with high-performance messaging and in-memory data stores.
• Strong focus on testing, CI/CD, and production readiness.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (MiFID II, SEC Rule 606) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: lead distributed microservices using Java/SpringBoot for high-frequency trading.
• Algorithm Engineering: translate execution strategies into production code with performance in mind.
• Performance Optimization: tune GC and memory to sustain sub-millisecond speeds.
• Platform Governance: implement Safe Trading protocols, pre-trade risk checks, and circuit breakers.
