Base pay range

$75.00/hr - $75.00/hr

Our client, a leader in Cyber Security Technology, is seeking a Senior Java/OpenShift Developer to join their team. As a Senior Java/OpenShift Developer, you will be part of the Global Information Security (GIS) department supporting Cyber Security Technology (CST). The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a self-motivated attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Java/OpenShift Developer

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay Range:$75/hr

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and deploy Java applications in a containerized environment using Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  
• Implement containerization strategies and best practices, optimizing application performance and security within OpenShift.
  
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible, automating deployments and streamlining workflows.
  
• Migrate existing applications to OpenShift and ensure compliance with security standards.
  
• Participate in planning & estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in building large scale Java applications.
    
  • Strong skills in designing and developing robust REST APIs and Micro Services, with proficiency in Spring Boot.
    
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes and building complex infrastructure programmatically through automation and scripting.
    
  • Experience migrating existing SOAP & REST Services to OpenShift.
    
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
