Job summary

Luminous Tec LLC is seeking a Senior Java Programmer for a contract-to-hire engagement (6 months) in Menominee Falls, Wisconsin. The role requires strong Java, SQL, and JQuery/AJAX skills and the ability to lead technical teammates across locations.

You will design, code, test, and support applications, create high-level design documents from business requirements, mentor junior developers, and troubleshoot issues independently while ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, etc.).
• Proficiency with UML/use cases and ability to translate requirements into designs.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, implement, maintain and support applications within budget and schedule.
• Create high-level design documents from business requirements with minimal guidance.
• Mentor junior developers and provide leadership to other technical professionals.
